Spatial information captured and maintained by the Survey Section including topographical map database, geodetic control network, administrative boundaries, address database, government terrier.

Data can be accessed by applying to the Chief Surveyor.

Data captured and maintained by the Survey Section is considered to be government property and is not available to the public without official permission.

At present all data is collected by the Survey Section though there are plans to include the private sector in the area of geodetic control.

 

9. PRICING:

 

Prices are based upon the premise that if data is paid for it has a greater perceived worth. One copy of the complete island is $2400 with annual maintenance at $800. A 2km x 2km tile is $60 with no maintenance offered. There is a small discount for multiple copies purchased. Reproduction Licence Fees are $25 for a single hardcopy reproduction of up to 2km x 2km and $655 for unlimited reproductions from either the digital or existing hardcopy mapping for a year.

Existing hardcopy mapping is not the same dataset as the digital mapping i.e. pre-dates digital mapping, and is available at $5 a sheet.
