Regions with Holes
Geographic objects are frequently thought of as regions with holes
- Lakes in vegetation coverage
- Islands in lakes
- Buildings on land parcels
Through generalization, the composition of such regions with holes may change.
Goal: To assess when two scenes of regions with holes are topologically
the same or not.
Result: An algorithm to assess
topological equivalence for regions with holes.
