The Current State of Thinking in Multi-Resolution Databases
- Record multiple representations covering the same geographic area at
different scales.
Reasons:
- Lack of robust algorithms.
- Derivations are computationally expensive.
Necessary to make it work:
- A mechanism to detect inconsistencies among the different representations.
