Liping is a doctoral student at the University of Maine in the School of Computing and Information Science. Her advisor is Prof. Michael Worboys.

Liping's current research interests include ontologies and unified models of indoor and outdoor spaces. She is now working with her advisor Prof. Michael Worboys for the NSF project of Information Integration and Human Interaction for Indoor and Outdoor Spaces.
